Leadworx is committed to transparency, privacy and choice. As part of the EU’s new privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), taking effect May 25, 2018, we have made several changes on our platform.
This article explains in detail what we have done and are doing - to be compliant of the new regulation.
First things first - What’s the GDPR?
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonise data protection laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens privacy and to reshape the way organisations across the region approach data privacy. GDPR comes into effect on May 25, 2018.
What's new at Leadworx?
Our team has rolled out a number of initiatives (see below) and is dedicated to further define and optimise our GDPR compliance. We want to ensure we meet our legal obligations and do the right thing for our customers, while still letting us move fast, scale and build a great product.
Here are the main things we’ve been doing to ensure we’re setting up ourselves and our customers up to meet GDPR obligations:
Data Processing Agreement: We have put together a GDPR compliant DPA for Leadworx's service. You can request for one by clicking here.
Vendor compliance: We’ve reviewed our vendors, finding out about their GDPR plans and have signed GDPR-ready data processing agreements with them.
Employee training: We have been and are continually training all our employees in data protection awareness.
New features: Our team is further building new features for the Leadworx tool to assist our customers as data controllers comply with the regulation.
